Fatigue
Analysis. In many applications
objects can fail when subjected
to service loads over a long
period of time, despite the
fact that those loads never
cause stresses above the yield
of the materials. Fatigue analysis
allows us to calculate the cumulative
damage in a component, for given
load histories, so that an estimate
of life can be made.
Impact
Analysis. This involves
the study of high speed collisions
between objects where significant
energy absorption, due to plastic
deformation and material failure,
occurs. The complex interactions
between such objects can be
predicted with a good degree
of confidence. |
